Thanks to a shout out from member Scott Martin, there is a quick fix for the DNS security flaw--just in case your ISP hasn't quietly made the upgrade. The flaw would allow anyone to impersonate your DNS and redirect your unsuspecting links to your online banking site to a phishing site. You can bet that there are phishes for all the major banks by now. The kludge is so simple, and so is the countermeasure. Do it.
Set your network connection to OpenDNS (208.67.222.222; 208.67.220.220). To find out if you currently have the flaw, go to http://www.doxpara.com/ and click on "check my DNS." We are doing a podcast on DNS security for TechForum LIVE with Secure64 Software. Stay tuned.
